Familiar Name in Jacksonville

Posted June 2002

For those involved in the welding supply and industrial gas industry, Sheron Carter has become a pretty familiar name and face. As the founder and former owner of Action Welding Supply in Jacksonville, Florida, Sheron saw his business grow from the ground up in 1970 to the 14 store, multi-state supplier that recently sold to Union Industrial Gases. In the midst of the growth and prosperity that Action enjoyed, he also found time to serve as President of the National Welding Supply Association (NWSA) during 2001.

Currently serving as the First Past President with the NWSA, Sheron continues to be a prominent member of one of the industry’s most respected trade organizations. You can see why INFONETICS was excited to add Sheron’s new venture, Independent Welder Repair, as the latest company to join our family of users!

Independent Welder Repair is a two-store operation run from Jacksonville and Daytona Beach, Florida that specializes in repairing all sorts of welding equipment. Started as a business for Union Industrial Gases to outsource their repair work, Independent Welder Repair now serves distributors and retail customers alike in Southern Georgia and Northern and Central Florida. With five full-time and two part-time employees, the folks at Independent have been running at full throttle since the day they opened their doors. Now, with the help of their new INFONETICS system, they can not only keep up with the demand, but exceed it!

Please welcome Sheron, his son Kent Carter, and the rest of Independent Welder Repair to the INFONETICS family of users. We’re glad to have you aboard!
