Getting to know Jeff Roope, marketing specialist here at INFONETICS, means getting to know his passions; golf and softball.
Jeff and his golf mates from the class of ’88, Scott Long and Rob Ebright, recently defended their open division champion golf title at the local Grove City High School Alumni tournament by winning for a second straight year. They shot an 11 under par 61 at Split Rock Golf Course in defeating the other 48 teams.
Jeff is also a member and the manager of the defending champion Class of ’88 alumni softball team, recording victories in 1995, 1998 and 2000. Unfortunately, their team didn’t fare as well on the field as it did on the links this year as they failed to defend their title when the lost to 8-time champion, the Class of ’83.
Grove City High School’s Alumni softball tournament has grown to 84 teams, competing in four divisions in its 19th year. Many graduates make the July event the centerpiece of their summer vacation and homecoming plans.
