Tecca’s Take on the NWSA Conference

Posted March 1996

The first NWSA Spring Management Conference was held in Atlanta, Georgia, February 18-20. Jim Conlin, Dale Gleghorn, and I attended and had a wonderful time. At the NWSA National Convention last October in Orlando, Florida, I only attended the contact booth portion and did not get the full effect of a NWSA convention. I definitely feel I met more people and learned more about this industry in Atlanta.

We had a number of people come to our contact booth interested in both of our product lines and wanting as much information as possible. The majority of people said that they had heard about us from some of our existing customers. We want all of our customers to know that we greatly appreciate you passing a good word to others on our behalf!! By the way, for those of you who stopped by our Contact Booth to see INFONETICS and/or INFOACCESS….Thanks!!

The three of us also listened to some intriguing speakers. Bill Higley, NWSA President, gave a speech titled “Take Dead Aim”. Jeffery Ellis, President, Tri-Gas Inc., and Dennis Martin, President, Miller Electric Mfg. Co., gave interesting speeches titled “Trends for the Future” and “Relationships with Distributors”. Gary M. Heil who is an attorney from San Francisco, California gave one of the best motivational speeches that I have ever heard. He spoke about giving people a caring and supportive work environment, and to always listen to their ideas. He also said to never stop learning and creating in your career or you will get bored and not be happy. If you ever get a chance to attend one of Mr. Heil’s speeches, I would strongly recommend it.

We will be attending the future NWSA Spring Management Conferences. If you plan to attend, stop by and say hello! Have a great St. Patrick’s Day!
